I’m Ashley, wife to Jeff, mom to Sophie Blaine and the creative dreamer who brought us all together. After falling in love with the Brazos Valley during my time at Texas A&M and working in the event industry for several years, I saw a need to be filled and embarked on doing so. With over 20 years of event experience and a passion for design, I’ve loved developing our work family to serve our clients.

Prep Style

Communication first within our team. We start our week with Monday meetings to recap from the previous week and get everyone on the same page for the upcoming week. This gets a snapshot of what we have ahead, what needs to be processed, loaded, and ensures all calendars and schedules are up to date.

What is your Enneagram Number? How do you think it prepares you for the position you’re in?

1 wing 9. One is the perfectionist, which is ideal for what I do. There are so many details that a 1 is naturally aware of that create that perfect look in a room, you just have to know how to get out of your own way sometimes. I feel like my 9 wing allows me to hear needs and create an action plan before some know it’s needed.

I am just a girl from east Texas who fell in love with a company, career, boss and town. I’ve had the pleasure of sharing my biggest life moments with our clients, vendors and Ashley & Co. family from graduating from Texas A&M (2014), getting married to my husband, Matthew (2018), buying our home and becoming official residents of the B/CS (2019) and sharing adventures and life travels with our fur babies, Gus and Festus. I chose the event industry following my love for a fast-paced environment, creativity, leading others and helping people execute their dream event day. I began my career at Ashley and Company as an intern in the summer of 2013 and never looked back. My role has developed through the years from intern to full-time wedding coordinator to lead event coordinator. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to work with hundreds of clients on weddings, non-profit fundraisers, corporate celebrations, donor events with Texas A&M and private events for local residents of the B/CS. My experiences through the years have allowed me to grow with our clients and company, and I look forward to sharing many more events and years of life with them.

Prep Style

When preparing an event with clients, I want to learn their vision for the big picture then guide them in creating the details to make it happen. I find every client has an image they are seeking in their event. My job is to help you bring that to life by pulling out elements that highlight you in your event.

Work Style

My work style in the office is very task oriented. I like to create a to-do list and knock it out from the top down. I find this is typically reflected in my plan of action on an event day. I’m the energizer bunny that’s going and going until the job is done. I like to work from the top down on sets to ensure we are meeting the client’s vision. When coordinating, I like to focus on taking action behind the scenes. I want my clients to know that everything is running seamlessly without seeing the operation in progress.

Personal Design Style

I love creating a pop or focal point to the space, and neutralizing everything else around that statement piece. Whether it’s a bold patterned linen, funky layout, or wow furniture piece, I start there, and build everything else around. In my house you can find large furniture pieces against stark white walls. On my wedding day there were bold pink flowers and our turquoise gatsby linen surrounded by neutral blues. I want you to walk into a space where your eyes are drawn toward the “WOW” but find visual relief in the surrounding elements.

What satisfies you most about your position?

I’m so proud to see where we have come as a company. The growth of Ashley & Co. from when I started in 2013 to where we are now is amazing to see. We have had the ability to execute a vision for so many clients over the years. I know we’ve been able to create a sense of relieve, beauty and excitement for each of clients through the years. I’m so proud to know we’ve been able to execute those visions as a team.

What is your Enneagram Number? How do you think it prepares you for the position you’re in?

Surprise surprise, I’m an 8, the challenger. I’m the all in or all out, go big or go home, and make it happen no matter what Ashley & Co. team member. I love channeling that energy back into our events, clients and team members. At the end of the day, I’m in your corner and we are going to get it done.

Piece of Advice for Clients

Don’t sweat the small things. Event days are filled with many details unique to your style, vision, and overall hope for guest experience, and it’s our goal to execute those for you flawlessly. In the end, there will always be a mishap, unavailability, or just plain bad luck. Whatever that thing is for you, don’t let it make everything else around you feel less than perfect. I always like to say, guests won’t miss what they don’t know about. In the end, your event day will be beautiful and we want to see that smile rain or shine.

Cathryne Callaway Jordan

Office Manager

My name is Cathryne – spelled just like that – and I am a Bryan, TX local! I loved the community I grew up in so much, that I decided to stay to pursue my degree at Texas A&M University. While in school, I began my time at Ashley and Company as an intern and was lucky enough to transition into a full-time position following my graduation from Mays Business School. In the Spring of 2023, I married my high school sweetheart, and we are so thrilled to begin the next chapter of our lives surrounded by people we love. Outside of the office, I am committed to living a healthy and active lifestyle, but don’t let that statement fool you, I am fully committed to my dessert obsession! Things that fuel me are my family, working out and cooking and baking.

Prep Style

When prepping for anything, I always start the task at hand off with a checklist. Nothing is more satisfying than crossing through a finished task. I am definitely the kind of girl who will write it down just to cross it off the list! This style helps me to keep everything in order and ensure that it gets done in a timely manner. Procrastination is not my game; I will always start early and finish before a deadline.

What satisfies you most about your position?

My position allows me to be the first face people see when they walk in our doors. I love getting to know everyone who visits the shop and assist them with all of their rental needs. Our open concept office allows me to learn from and assist the team that surrounds me. It feels great to help with the little things that make a big difference! My position gets to be involved in a little bit of everything in the office, which makes the ongoing projects extra fun.

What is your Enneagram Number? How do you think it prepares you for the position you’re in?

I am an Enneagram 1 that Wings 2. When I first read the characteristics of this enneagram, I was shocked by how accurate it was. I am a perfectionist whose goal in life is to leave the world better than I found it. I have a natural desire to help others while also keeping everything on the right track. These characteristics go hand in hand with my Position as I aim to keep the office running smoothly while helping everyone I can along the way.
